Under 9s suffer narrow defeat to White Rose
Some decent weather saw Holmfirth Town Under 9s host White Rose in a friendly match. Despite a resurgence to recover from 2 goals down, bringing the score back to 2-2, and defending with aplomb, Town couldn’t hold back the visitors who eventually scored a third goal to win the match at the weekend.
The Under 9s hadn’t played for several weeks due to weather affected games but managed a decent, gutsy performance and showed promise going into their next game.
Arthur won Man of The Match for his outstanding performance in defence.
