Armistice Day Remembered
Our U12’s local derby away fixture against Honley JFC started with an impeccably observed two minute silence at the 11th minute on the 11th day of the 11th month marking the end of the First World War and remembering all those involved in Wars past and present.
The match itself was a gritty affair as both teams looked to secure bragging rights at school with players from Holmfirth JFC and Honley JFC attending the same High Schools.
Holmfirth came out triumphant securing a resounding 4-0 victory which takes the team to 2nd in their division with a top of the league clash against leaders Hipperholme to be played next week.
