Golden Goal ends Under 10s match during storm Erik
Driving rain, battering winds, elbows in eyes, strained thighs and bent fingers. The Under 10s took it all in their stride in order to get in an additional training match before the half-term break.
The friendly inter-team match took place at the Holmfirth Cricket Club ground and was a competitive affair. The Reds went in to half-time several goals up but in the end, with a great resurgence, it came down to Golden Goal and the Whites winning 8-7.
Hot drinks, sausage butties and hot baths at home were needed after the match, and that was just the Mums and Dads.
Well done boys (and parents), great commitment.
