Rain had fallen, rain on rain, rain on rain
Despite the distinctly un-festive weather, the Under 10’s, their coaches and parents braved the weather for a Christmas inter-team match.
It was a hard fought affair with neither team wanting to give anything to their peers. Whites went in to half-time 3-1 ahead and then soon extended the lead to 4-1 after the break, completing the hat-trick for new signing Reuben. Reds picked themselves up and scored two in quick succession but their comeback was short lived as Whites scored another and ended the game 5-3 winners.
It was a truly festive affair with enormous pigs in blankets (or were they duvets?) hotdogs with cranberry sauce and despite being cold and very wet the boys were smiling but that might have had something to do with post-match doughnuts and sweets.
